Abstract: This paper deals with the consideration of the feminist theory of society by Iris Young, who, in her works, is mostly inspired by postmodern philosophy and critical theory of society, as well as phenomenology, liberal philosophy, etc. In her reflections, one can find elements of feminist theories, political philosophy, Marxism, African-American philosophies, the emphasis on importance and analysis of the position of women, both structurally and historically. The first part of the paper deals with the topic of responsibility and law, where Young urges her readers to reflect on the responsibilities and obligations of society in creating justice / redressing injustice. The second part deals with universal citizenship and the realization of equal rights for all in society. The next section deals with participatory democracy and heterogeneous public. Instead of universal citizenship, it advocates group-differentiated citizenship and heterogeneous public. Not only does Young dwell on criticism of the theories in question, but she also offers an alternative solution based precisely on her views, which represent a combination of feminism, Marxism, and theories of perceptive democracy.
